United Shield LW MXV IIIA Ballistic Shields | Trapezoid Viewport
Purpose: United Shield LW MXV IIIA is a lightweight handgun-threat ballistic shield family built around an enlarged trapezoidal viewing window for tactical and law-enforcement response.
Ordering identifiers: Security Pro USA currently offers 20×34, 24×36, 22×40, 24×48, RRS and Assault-style variants. Horizontal and ERT handles are separate ordering choices; each Shopify variant has its own SKU.
Manufacturer-based technical and selection information
- Manufacturer lists a 13.5 × 5.5 in. MXV trapezoid viewport and approximately 77 sq. in. of viewing area, with a viewport cover.
- ERT tri-grip handle gives central and angled grip choices; other handle variants have different installation and price.
- Manufacturer identifies its LW MXV family as Level IIIA handgun-threat protection, with additional special-threat testing described on the factory page. This does not establish NIJ CPL certification for shields.
- Exact shield dimensions, completed weight, accessories and test coverage must be obtained for the selected variant.

How is MXV different from a narrow standard viewport?
It uses a larger trapezoidal opening intended to broaden field of view, including downwards.
Is an ERT handle included?
Only when selected in the specific variant; other variants list horizontal or Assault handles.
Is the viewport included in ballistic performance testing?
Buyers must ask for the complete shield and viewport test documentation; a shield-panel rating alone is insufficient.
