United Shield Standard Level IIIA Rectangular Ballistic Shields | Agency Sizes

Purpose: United Shield's standard rectangular Level IIIA handgun-threat shields are configurable for police tactical teams, with fixed and ERT handles and shield sizes ranging from compact patrol coverage to extended-height options.

Ordering identifiers: Store variants include 20×34, 24×36, 22×40, 24×48, 24×51 and 24×69 models. An ERT handle is not interchangeable with the standard horizontal-handle SKU.

• Manufacturer lists standard-size horizontal-handle shield weights: 20×34 in. 12.8 lb; 24×36 in. 16.5 lb; 22×40 in. 16.9 lb; 24×48 in. 19.5 lb; 24×51 in. 21.3 lb; 24×69 in. 26.4 lb.
• Factory special-threat documentation includes various 9 mm, .357 SIG, .40 caliber, 5.7×28 mm and 7.62×25 mm threats, depending on product and test record.
• Optional viewports, LED lights, alternate handles, transport bags, weapon rests and leg assemblies must be explicitly quoted.

Does Level IIIA stop rifle ammunition?

Do not assume so. This is the manufacturer's handgun-threat category. Select a separately documented rifle-threat shield for a rifle requirement.

What changes when I select ERT?

The ERT handle is a distinct operator-grip arrangement and SKU. Confirm actual delivered weight and suitability.

Are large shields easier to carry?

Larger dimensions add coverage but can increase weight and storage requirements. Include doorway, vehicle-storage and staffing constraints in the RFQ.
