A through-the-wall box puts the drop slot on the public side and the locked collection door on the staff side. Visitors never get near the contents, and staff can empty the box without opening a counter or leaving the secure area.
Installation
These boxes are designed to fit between standard wall studs 16" on center. Protex recommends a finished wall thickness of 4 to 10 inches. You will need to cut the drywall between the studs, and Protex includes two removable, adjustable metal frames to cover the rough cuts. Confirm stud spacing and wall thickness before the install date.
