Ballistic Face Masks

DESCRIPTION

Ballistic-resistant and tactical face masks do not all provide the same type of protection. This collection includes aramid face protection marketed and tested by manufacturers for specified ballistic threats, as well as a steel mesh mask intended for airsoft and impact/debris protection. Always check the individual product page and supporting test documentation before selecting equipment for a ballistic application.

Ballistic-resistant face protection is supplemental equipment. It does not make the wearer “bulletproof,” does not replace a ballistic helmet or torso armor, and cannot eliminate the risk of serious injury from projectile impact. NIJ Standard 0101.07 applies to torso body armor; face masks fall outside that certification scope, so face-mask ballistic claims should be evaluated using the specific manufacturer or laboratory documentation for the exact model and configuration.

Security Pro USA evaluates tactical and ballistic equipment in controlled real-world range environments through our affiliation with California Tactical Academy (CTA). Range evaluation can help us assess fit, retention, visibility, movement and equipment compatibility, but it is not a substitute for accredited laboratory certification.

Agency purchasing support is available. Contact our team if you need help comparing the intended use, test documentation and helmet compatibility of a specific face-protection product.
