Beginners guide to Soft and Hard body Armor

Soft armor typically stops small arms fire. Such as handguns or small caliber guns. The biggest upside of Soft armor is how it is Lighter and easier to wear. As a  police officer small arms are more commonly used in crime meaning Hard armor can be excessive in most cases. Soft armor makes it easier to maneuver as an officer and the materials are lighter.

Hard armor is typically  designed for Military use. It is made of harder materials like ceramic, steel, and composite materials. Usually capable of stopping larger caliber guns and munitions. Heavier and bulky yet more protective and capable of stopping more munitions than Soft armor and typically has more utility space for convenience.
