The Devtac Ronin is a full-face ballistic mask. It covers the face and the head, and it includes a respirator. You do not need a separate helmet. People also call it a ballistic face mask. It is not a half mask.
The maker states NIJ Level IIIA, including .357 SIG and .44 Magnum. That is handgun protection. It is not a rifle rating. NIJ 0101 applies to torso armor, not to this mask. Ask for the test sheet for this exact unit before you rely on the rating.
The shell is aramid and weighs about 1 kg. The base price includes the respirator frame, filters, a chin strap, an NVG mount, a defogger fan, and extra lenses. A heads-up display is optional and costs extra. Price starts at $5,499.
